Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.
Castle
Château de Caen
The castle of Caen imposes its presence from the first spans, with powerful lines and a logical set readable by space. Once the approaches are reached, we can better read the chains of buildings and the relationship to the urban landscape. The place rewards a patient exploration.
Museum
Mémorial de Caen
The Caen Memorial is anchored by routes designed to make you feel strata of history. It travels effectively when each room is allowed to open onto another visual area rather than overflying. The details, panels and paths produce a true immersion.
Museum
Tapisserie de Bayeux
The Tapestry of Bayeux is discovered as a narrative which is read by slowing down, panel after panel, then recoiling to connect the visual sequences. The place takes strength when observing materials, light on tissues, conservation and interpretation gestures.
