Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Museum
Musée d'histoire moderne de Gunsan
The Museum of Gunsan presents the development of the port, the rice trade and the Japanese colonial period through objects, reconstructed decorations and archives. The neighbouring warehouses and bank buildings extend this reading directly into the urban fabric.

Temple
Temple Dongguksa
Dongguksa conserves at Gunsan A main pavilion built in Japanese style in the early 20th century, rare in South Korea. Its colonial history is explained with sobriety, especially around a stele of repentance installed in the enclosure.

Culture and heritage
Site du temple Mireuksa
Mireuksa was one of the largest temples in the kingdom of Baekje. Its large restored stone pagoda, foundations and museum allow to mentally rebuild a disappeared complex, placed in an open plain at the foot of the reliefs of Iksan.
