Mount Rainier National Park
Ice volcano, flowery meadows and ancient forests overlooking the region.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Place indismissible
Paradise
Paradise Its name is well known for the density of its flowered meadows, its neves and its close views of Mount Rainier. The trails start from the visitor center towards Myrtle Falls, Skyline Trail or from the viewpoints where glaciers seem to descend straight to wildflowers.

Place indismissible
Sunrise
Sunrise reveals the northeast side of Mount Rainier, higher, drier and often more open than Paradise. The subalpine meadows provide access to hikes to Fremont Lookout or Burroughs Mountain, with morning light that hangs glaciers and volcanic slopes.

Place indismissible
Grove of the Patriarchs
Grove of the Patriarchs Protects a forested island from very old cedars, fir trees and hemlock near the Ohanapecosh River. When access is open, the short loop and its suspended bridge plunge into a humid forest where massive trunks, mosses and clear water dominate the visit.

Nature and landscape
Reflection Lakes
Reflection Lakes is one of the most photographed points of the park, as Mount Rainier can be reflected in a calm water lined with meadows. The effect depends on the wind and light; early in the morning, the silhouettes of the volcano, trees and flowers are best read on the surface.
