Lake Jingpo, Cascade Diaoshuilou and Underground crater forest give the most telling landmarks of Mudanjiang and Lake Jingpo. Together, they make up a destination where urban life, shores and lakes, volcanic landscapes and forests meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than a single uniform setting.

Lake
Lac Jingpo
Jingpo is a long lake formed by lava flows that have barred the Mudan River in the middle of the mountains. Boats and roads connect several banks, but one night on site avoids a reduced visit to the waterfall.
Waterfall
Cascade Diaoshuilou
Diaoshuilou discharges the water from Lake Jingpo on a wide basalt bar, with a very variable flow depending on the season. Planed viewpoints surround the fall; the rocks become dangerously slippery near the water.
Place indismissible

The underground forest occupies several old craters lined with dense vegetation north-west of Jingpo Lake. Stairways and trails cross a volcanic relief more wild than the main tourist shores.
