General presentation
Qinhuangdao et Shanhaiguan
Eastern terminus of the Great Wall, coastal stations and military history meet on the edge of the Gulf of Bohai.
To understand what Qinhuangdao and Shanhaiguan are, you have to look at the side of Shanhaiguan Pass, Laolongtou and Beidaihe Beach. These places give us a view of a territory marked by urban life, the coastline and the heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Nature and panorama
Passe de Shanhaiguan
Shanhaiguan locked the passage between the mountains and the sea at the eastern end of the Great Ming Wall. Remparts, doors and museum walk through a rebuilt but still legible neighborhood.

Place indismissible
Laolongtou
Laolongtou is the fortified section that moves directly on the beach, like a dragon head facing the Bohai. The site combines restored wall, military pavilions and sea views, with little shade in summer.

Beach
Plage de Beidaihe
Beidaihe is an ancient seaside resort known for its long beaches and bird migrations along the coast. Summer attendance is strong; coastal walks and observatories are quieter in spring and autumn.
