General presentation
Groenland du Sud
Green Fjords, sheep farms, northern ruins and glaciers connect Qaqortoq, Narsarsuaq and Nanortalik.
To understand what Southern Greenland is, you must look at Qaqortoq, Hvalsey and Igaliku. These places give us a view of a territory marked by the coastline, mountain reliefs, the countryside and heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 6 to 12 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

World Heritage
Kujataa au Groenland : agriculture nordique et inuite en bordure de la calotte glaciaire
Kujataa shows a southern Greenland of pastures, fjords and farms set up near the ice cap. Northern remains, Inuit practices and current farming make up a rare arctic agricultural landscape, where we understand the fragility of seasons and resources.

Place indismissible
Qaqortoq
Qaqortoq climbs around a harbour lined with colourful houses in the greener south of Greenland. Stone and Man's sculptures, the museum and steep streets give the city a very legible artistic personality.

Place indismissible
Hvalsey
Hvalsey preserves the best preserved ruins of the northern settlement in Greenland. The stone church appears alone in a valley open to the fjord, making this medieval history surprisingly close.

Place indismissible
Igaliku
Igaliku is a small agricultural village set among the remains of the former bishopric of Garðar. Stone houses, pastures and mountains make up an unexpected Greenlandic landscape, almost pastoral in summer.
