Presentazione generale
Xilinhot and Xilingol
Steppe capital surrounded by huge pastures, volcanic hills and still visible equestrian traditions.
Xilinhot's viewpoint, Xilingol's Prairies and Xilingol's Protected Steppe give the most telling landmarks of Xilinhot and Xilingol. Together, they form a destination where urban life, the countryside and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than a single uniform decor.
Vedi tutto
For a stay of 2 to 5 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Luoghi imperdibili
Una selezione per iniziare a sognare e organizzare il soggiorno — non un elenco esaustivo di tutto ciò che c’è da vedere.
Punto panoramico
Belvédère de Xilinhot
The low hills north of Xilinhot overlook a recent town that opens directly onto the pastures of Xilingol. The gazebo gives a useful geographical landmark before long excursions in the steppe.
Nature and landscape
Prairies of Xilingol
Xilingol's meadows form one of the great pastoral landscapes of China, with open horizons, herds and seasonal camps. The distances are considerable; a vehicle with local driver allows to limit too much scenographed stops.
Place indismissible
Steppe protégée de Xilingol
The protected areas of Xilingol conserve different types of temperate steppe and species adapted to a very continental climate. Access is not uniform; visits must respect tracks, fences and breeding activities.
