Nature and landscape
West Okoboji Lake
West Okoboji Lake is the most emblematic lake of the Iowa Great Lakes, known for its clear water, beaches, pontoons and summer evenings. The landscape alternates lively shores, holiday homes and quieter areas, with a lake resort atmosphere very different from the nearby agricultural plains.
Nature and landscape
Arnolds Park
Arnolds Park mix historic amusement park, lakeside walk, summer concerts and restaurants in the relaxed atmosphere of Okoboji. The rides, including the wooden roller coasters, give the lakefront a family energy and nostalgic, particularly lively during long hot days.
Nature and landscape
Gull Point State Park
Gull Point State Park offers a more wooded and peaceful shore on West Okoboji Lake, with camping, access to water, trails and picnic areas. It is a good counterpoint to the lively areas of the lake, suitable for travelers looking for more shade, quiet swimming and mornings by the water.
