Wuxi and Lake Tai
Tai Lake Rives, historic gardens and industrial canals tell of a city long enriched by trade and silk.
The discovery of Wuxi and Lake Tai is centred around Yuantuzhu, Jichang Garden and Old Huishan. The stay thus alternates between urban life, shores and lakes, heritage and riverscapes, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Yuantouzhu
This peninsula runs into Lake Tai between gardens, gazebos and cherry trees. Spring attracts considerable crowds; out of bloom, the shore paths remain pleasant. The beginning of the day usually offers more calm.
庭園
Jichang Garden
Jichang organizes sources, rocks and views taken from the foot of Huishan Hill. Its subtle composition is better discovered earlier, before the circuits combined with the old town. Architectural details are better discovered without haste.
Place indismissible
Old town of Huishan
Huishan keeps family shrines, alleys and workshops around the sources and the Grand Canal. The restored areas are still surrounded by more discreet courses that must be covered on foot. The beginning of the day usually offers more calm.
Place indismissible
Grand Bouddha de Ling Shan
The monumental statue dominates a vast contemporary Buddhist complex near Lake Tai. The scale and shows are impressive; it is necessary to distinguish religious practice and tourist staging.
