Three sacred peaks, high-altitude lakes and forested valleys form a spectacular yet physically demanding landscape.
Yading Nature Reserve, Yading Five Color Lake and Chonggu Monastery give the most telling landmarks of Daocheng and Yading. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, shores and lakes, forests and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

The reserve protects three sacred peaks and a staggering of forests, pastures and scalds of very high altitude. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, suitable clothing and hourly margin remain useful, even during the most favorable season.
