The discovery of Kashgar revolves around Id Kah Mosque, Old Town of Kashgar and Mausoleum of Apak Khoja. The stay thus alternates between urban life, heritage and desert areas, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

The great mosque borders the central square of Kashgar and remains a major religious landmark. Access, schedules and practices are closely framed; the visit requires respect and discretion. A slow visit allows to go beyond the only points of view the best known.

The centre presents lanes, houses and shops largely rebuilt in a supervised tourist setting. It is necessary to read this landscape in hindsight and not to present it as an old fabric that remains intact.

Mausolée d'Apak Khoja
The mausoleum combines varnished domes, minarets and gardens around an important Sufi lineage. Its architecture deserves a visit, attentive to the religious and political context. A slow visit allows to go beyond the only points of view the best known.
