The discovery of Seward and Kenai Fjords is based on Exit Glacier, Harding Icefield and Resurrection Bay. The stay thus alternates between the coastline, mountain reliefs and natural areas, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Exit Glacier
Exit Glacier puts the ice retreat in front of the eyes: dated landmarks mark the path and show how far the ice had once descended. The trails lead to the Moraines, the Milky torrents and the blue fronts visible from the valley, without requiring a distant expedition to Kenai Fjords National Park.

Harding Icefield
The Harding Icefield dominates the Kenai Fjords hinterland as a white sea from which several glaciers flow, including Exit Glacier. The climb to the views of the ice field is demanding, with alpine tundra, possible snowfalls and changing weather, but it gives one of the strongest images of the ice relief around Seward.

Resurrection Bay
Resurrection Bay framework Seward between dark mountains, deep waters and exits to the Kenai fjords. From the harbour, docks or a boat, one can observe maritime activity, birds, sometimes sea lions and otters; the bay serves as the first contact with the cut-out coastline of southern Alaska.

Alaska SeaLife Center
The Alaska SeaLife Center combines aquarium, marine research and animal rehabilitation on the Seward waterfront. The basins allow for the observation of diving birds, seals, fish and invertebrates in the Gulf of Alaska, making it a valuable visit before or after an outing in Kenai Fjords.
