The Medracen is a large numide funerary monument located northeast of Batna. Its stone volume and monumental shape bear witness to a royal tradition that preceded the great Roman ensembles of the region, without imposing a certain identification of its occupant.

In the valley of l'oued Abiod, the balconies of the Ghoufi dominate a canyon and an oasis. The remains of troglodytic dwellings show the adaptation of the building to the rocky walls, in a landscape of the Aurès where relief, water and habitat are closely linked.
