概述
Gander and central Newfoundland
A region of lakes and forests whose aeronautical history has shaped a surprisingly cosmopolitan city.
The discovery of Gander and central Newfoundland is built around the North Atlantic Aviation Museum, Cobb's Pond Rotary Park and Gander International Airport. The stay thus alternates between urban life, shores and lakes, forests and heritage, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Culture and heritage
North Atlantic Aviation Museum
The North Atlantic Aviation Museum tells why Gander counted in transatlantic aviation, from refuelling stops to unexpected landings. Aircraft, photos, instruments and air traffic control stories give life to a technical but very human history, rooted in this city born around its airport.
Nature and landscape
Cobb's Pond Rotary Park
Cobbs Pond Rotary Park offers an easy walk around a forest-lined pond, with walkways, gazebos and bird-trapped areas. It is one of the easiest places to take air to Gander, without really leaving the city or losing contact with nature.
History and architecture
Aéroport international de Gander
The Gander terminal retains the modernist elegance of the time when transatlantic flights regularly stopped there. His exhibitions, works and furniture tell both the golden age of aviation and the welcome offered to travellers who were immobilized here in September 2001. This stop gives the city an unexpected historical depth beyond its role as a crossing point.
