Hutchinson's Cosmosphere surprises by the breadth of its space collections, particularly around American and Soviet programs. Capsules, combinations, engines, documents and mission objects make up a very material visit, where the spatial conquest is told by the pieces that astronauts and engineers have actually used.

Strataca
Strataca sent the visitors down to an ancient salt mine, under Hutchinson, in a world of dark galleries, crystallised walls and frozen machines. The contrast with the flat surface of Kansas is striking, and the underground train tour adds an almost industrial dimension to the experience.

Reno County Museum
The Reno County Museum Tells Hutchinson and its county through everyday objects, shops, schools, families and local episodes. It is a quiet visit, useful to connect the salt mine, the railway, agriculture and urban life that shaped this part of Kansas.
