Mount Rushmore and Keystone
Monumental sculpture, panoramic roads and Black Hills heritage.
The discovery of Mount Rushmore and Keystone is based on Mount Rushmore, Iron Mountain Road and Big Thunder Gold Mine. The stay thus alternates between heritage, mountain reliefs and forests, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Nature and panorama
Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore presents the carved faces of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln in the granite of the Black Hills. The site is very organized, but the perspective from flag avenue and viewpoints remains strong; the visit is better placed in the wider history of the Six Grandfathers Mountain.
Nature and panorama
Iron Mountain Road
Iron Mountain Road connecting the Black Hills to Mount Rushmore by a suite of laces, spiral bridges and tunnels that sometimes frame the memorial in the distance. More than just a simple journey, the road plays with perspective, forest and sudden openings on granite.
Place indismissible
Big Thunder Gold Mine
Big Thunder Gold Mine, in Keystone , plunges into the mining history of the Black Hills through an old gallery and gold-related demonstrations. The place is suitable for families and curious local history, with a more tactile experience than the large nearby monuments.
Nature and panorama
Presidential Trail
Presidential Trail The corners gradually change on the carved faces, making the visit more active than the main lookout and allowing to observe the details of the granite.
