Nature and panorama
Wind Cave
Wind Cave It is distinguished by its boxwork formations, thin calcite partitions that cover the ceilings and underground walls. On the surface, the park also protects a meadow inhabited by buffalo and prairie dogs, offering a double visit: mineral cave below, landscape of the Black Hills above.
Nature and panorama
Jewel Cave
Jewel Cave owes its name to calcite crystals that sparkle on part of its walls, but its singularity also stems from the immense network of cartographic galleries. Guided tours reveal a cave ventilated by pressure variations, with passages, concretions and deep silence under the Black Hills.
Nature and panorama
Rankin Ridge
Rankin Ridge offers one of the best views of Wind Cave National Park, above the meadows and forests of the Black Hills. The trail climbs to an old watchtower; in clear weather, the horizon opens wide, which completes a well underground visit of the cave.

Elk Mountain Campground
Elk Mountain Campground serves as a simple basis for sleeping in Wind Cave National Park, between meadows, sparse pines and clear night sky. Interest is due to the location: on waking up, park roads, prairie dogs, bison and cave visits are already nearby.
