For a stay of 2 to 4 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: less heritage than Sarajevo or Mostar and seasonal water activities. Fortress Kastel
The Kastel fortress runs along the Vrbas in the centre of Banja Luka, with large walls, open courtyards and views of the river. More than just an isolated monument, it is a daily walking space, often animated by concerts, terraces and green alleys of the nearby city centre.

The Vrbas canyon tightens the river between wooded cliffs and panoramic roads south of Banja Luka The rapids attract rafting enthusiasts, while the gazebos and suspended bridges give another way to grasp this steep relief, very close to the city.

Krupa na Vrbasu combines wooden mills, small rapids and monastery in a green valley on the edge of the Vrbas. The village is well suited for a short walk from Banja Luka Water passes between the wheels, the paths go up to the ruins, and the canyon begins almost immediately.
