Nevada Northern Railway Museum
The Nevada Northern Railway Museum maintains a copper mine depot, workshops and rolling stock in Ely. It is not only a showroom: locomotives, wagons and tracks still operate on heritage routes, giving the site the smell, noise and slowness of an old railway.

Ward Charcoal Ovens
Ward Charcoal Ovens protects six stone hives-shaped furnaces, built to produce coal used by Nevada mining smelters. Set in a dry landscape of juniper and hills, they tell a harsh and very material economy; the surrounding trails add a short escape into the high desert.

Ely Renaissance Village gathers restored small houses that evoke immigrant communities who come to work in the mines and railways of the region.
