Port
Fowey
Fowey clings to a deep ria, with narrow streets, ferries, sailboats and gliding views between the houses. The city has a very clear literary and maritime atmosphere, especially pleasant when you take the time to descend to the docks and then to climb up through the alleys.
Village
Polperro
Polperro locks its small harbour in a maze of lanes, white houses and tight passages. Very busy in season, the village savors better sooner or later, when the details of facades, nets and docks resume.
Historical port
Charlestown
Charlestown maintains a surprisingly legible Georgian port, with basins, stone docks and large sailboats when they are docked. The place talks as much to maritime history enthusiasts as to travellers sensitive to cinema sets, without losing its Cornuaillais anchor.
Garden
Eden Project
Eden Project surprises by its great biomes laid in an old quarry, where it moves from outdoor gardens to bubble-recreated climates. The visit is particularly interesting in family or in uncertain times, as it combines vegetal spectacle, pedagogy and architecture very recognizable.
