Mont Albert is distinguished by its open plateaus, its serpentine orange rocks and its views of the Chic-Chocs. The hike has an almost arctic character in places, with low vegetation, frank winds and sometimes the discreet presence of caribou in the park.

Mont Jacques-Cartier leads to the highest summit in southern Quebec, in the heart of the Chic-Chocs. The trail crosses a fragile mountain environment, where the alpine tundra and the caribou of the Gaspésie impose strict rules, but the views are far away in good weather.

The American lake lies in a glacial circus at the foot of the mountains of the Gaspésie Park. Its relatively short path leads to a dark water lined with walls and conifers, an ideal exit to taste the Chic-Chocs without embarking on a long climb.
