Nature and landscape
Pine Creek Gorge
Pine Creek Gorge hollows a spectacular topography over the kilometres in the Allegheny plateau, often compared to a large regional canyon. The views of the river give an impression of accentuated relief, even from simple access points. The landscape acts slowly, in depth.
Nature and landscape
Cherry Springs State Park
Cherry Springs sets itself as one of the clearest points to admire the sky and nature of the plateau, with areas of forest and rock that open away. It is a place of night and day, where distance and visual purity play a major role. The calm becomes structural there.
Nature and landscape
Kinzua Bridge State Park
Kinzua Bridge State Park retains the echo of an iconic bridge in an open mountain relief. The views and traces of the structure offer a technical history reading in dialogue with the surrounding forest. The place gains in interest when one understands the contrast between industrial past and current relief.
