Old Man of Storr, Quiraing and Fairy Pools give the most telling landmarks of Skye Island. Together, they make up a destination where island landscapes, mountain reliefs, coastlines and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 3 to 6 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. To anticipate also: saturated sites in summer and very unstable weather. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

Panorama
Old Man of Storr
Old Man of Storr sets its rocky needles above a steep slope in one of Skye's most dramatic landscapes. The climb can be frequented and slippery, but the combination of rocks, loch and changing sky justifies leaving early.
Cascades
Fairy Pools
Fairy Pools follows a series of clear basins and waterfalls at the foot of the Cuillin, in a mineral and humid setting. The walk remains relatively accessible, but crossing and muddy terrain require good shoes, especially after the rain.
Massive
The Storr
The Storr forms a massif tormented with cliffs, scrambles and pinnacles that dominate the Trotternish peninsula. The walk is not limited to the famous monolith: side views, mist changes and successive reliefs give the site its full scope.
