概述
Matera
Spectacular rock town of the Sassi, with hollow eglises, limestone ravines and a clear stone atmosphere.
To understand what Matera is, look at Sassi de Matera, Cathedral of Matera and Murgia Materana Park. These places give us the opportunity to see a territory marked by urban life, heritage and natural spaces and to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

For a stay of 1 to 3 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: stairs and slopes and heat in summer. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

遗产
Sassi de Matera
The Sassi de Matera form a tangle of troglodytic houses, stairwells and rock churches dug in the tuff. The walk alternates cool shadow, mineral plots and sudden views of the ravine, giving a physical sense of town inhabited in the rock rather than simply placed on it.
遗产
Cathédrale de Matera
The cathedral of Matera dominates the Sassi from the Civita, with a Romanesque silhouette visible from many viewpoints. Its interior slices by the richness of the decorations, chapels and ceilings, while the parvis offers a precious retreat on the hollowed districts that descend on each side.
自然
Belvédère de Murgia Timone
Murgia Timone's gazebo gives a panoramic but changing reading of the city and its surroundings. Depending on the direction of the wind and the clarity, the relief recomposes the horizon lines continuously. Walking and then stopping for a few minutes makes it possible to integrate volumes and distances better.
遗产
Palombaro Lungo
The Palombaro Lungo offers a unique route where architecture and water techniques join each other. Underground spaces give a strong atmosphere as soon as one agrees to decrease the step. The place is well apprehensive by observing materiality and traffic choices.
