For a stay of 1 to 3 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: paying sites and very seasonal atmosphere. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Maritime Museum
Mystic Seaport Museum
Mystic Seaport Museum The port of New England is restored from ships and vessels built around a story of maritime trades. To board and travel through the entire village makes it possible to visualize the chain of activities that has structured the city.
Aquarium
Mystic Aquarium
Mystic Aquarium gives a direct anchor to the regional marine fauna with beluga, penguins and various mediation devices. The power of the visit comes from proximity to animals, which makes the experience more incarnate for children as for adults.
Coastal village
Stonington Borough
Stonington Borough keeps a maritime village ladder where narrow streets and old buildings create an impression of proximity to the strait. Interest is in the transition: on leaving the center, one perceives a slower and more coherent version of the coast than in the Mystic.
Seafront
New London Waterfront
The New London seafront reveals a city shaped by ferries, wharves and river routes. The contrast between trains, boats and naval memoirs is divided into a few blocks, useful to situate the city in its regional role as a crossroads.
