Together, they form a destination where desert areas, mountain reliefs and heritage meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Heritage
Ancienne ville de Ghat
Ghat is a town in the Fezzan region of Algeria, close to the Algerian border. Its ancient core and neighbouring fortress give a point of entry into Saharan urban history, distinct from the scattered rock sites of the Acacus massif.

Heritage
Sites rupestres du Tadrart Acacus
The Tadrart Acacus is a desert massif located east of Ghat. His paintings and rock engravings bear witness to ancient changes in the environment and Saharan societies, within a rocky landscape that far exceeds a single visiting site.

Heritage
Forteresse de Ghat
The fortress dominates Ghat from the hill of Koukemen. It began in the Ottoman period and was rebuilt during the Italian period, and offers a witness to successive military interventions in the Saharan city, distinct from the rock heritage of the Acacus.
