General presentation
Hanzhong
Fertile Plain, shrines of the Three Kingdoms and Qinling Mountains distinguish this southern town from the Shaanxi.
Wuhou Temple in Mianxian, Zhuque Reserve and Ancient Baoxia Road give the most telling landmarks of Hanzhong. Together, they form a destination where urban life, riverscapes, heritage and mountain reliefs meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 2 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Temple
Temple de Wuhou à Mianxian
The sanctuary commemorates Zhuge Liang near sites associated with the Three Kingdoms. The place remains culturally sensitive and discovers with discretion, without hindering local practices; religious schedules, outfit and photographic rules are to be checked on site.

Place indismissible
Réserve de Zhuque
Qinling forests and valleys are home to a remarkable biodiversity north of the plain. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, warm clothing and time limits are still useful, even in summer.

Place indismissible
Ancienne route de Baoxie
Remnants of pious pavements crossed the gorges between Hanzhong and the Wei. A visit early in the day allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.
