General presentation
Imlil et le Toubkal
Imlil and Aroumd allow to approach villages in the Mizan Valley before the high slopes of Toubkal National Park. The summit, at 4,167 meters, requires a separate preparation of the village walks. This destination combines inhabited landscapes and high mountains, with routes highly dependent on altitude and snow.
The discovery of Imlil and the Toubkal is centred around Imlil, valley of the Aït Mizane, Toubkal National Park and Aroumd, village of the Aït Mizane. The stay thus alternates between mountain reliefs, natural spaces and the countryside, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

For a stay of 3 to 6 days, you must plan a fairly long day. Also to be anticipated: acclimation, equipment and professional support to be provided for the summits; to have the local rules and conditions of passage confirmed. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Walk
Imlil, vallée des Aït Mizane
Imlil is a village in the High Atlas, located about 1,800 metres away from the main routes to Toubkal. It is a base for organising mountain trips, but also offers a discovery of the inhabited landscapes of the valley.

Nature
Parc national du Toubkal
Created in 1942, Toubkal National Park protects an area of the High Atlas south of Marrakech. It includes the highest point of the massif, but also valleys whose discovery does not automatically require aiming at a summit.

Walk
Aroumd, village des Aït Mizane
Aroumd, also known as Armed, is an Amazigh village in the Aït Mizane valley above Imlil. It is located on the Toubkal approach and allows to discover mountain habitat before the higher stages of the park.

Nature
Jbel Toubkal
With 4,167 metres, the Toubkal is the highest point in Morocco and North Africa. The current route starts from Illil, but altitude and effort require serious preparation, even when the terrain is snow-free.
