General presentation
Suncheon et Yeosu
Coves, reeds, coastal temples, gardens and fortified villages draw a soft region between land and archipelagos.
To understand what Suncheon and Yeosu are, you must look to the side of Suncheon Bay, the fortified village of Naganeupseong and Ermitage Hyangiram. These places give us a view of a territory marked by the coastline, wetlands, heritage and natural spaces and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Place indismissible
Baie de Suncheon
The Bay of Suncheon Protects a vast reed and mudflats frequented by many birds. Gateways, observatories and panoramic hill allow to follow the changes of tide, with a particularly soft light at the end of the day.

Village
Village fortifié de Naganeupseong
Naganeupseong keeps inside its walls houses covered with stubble, courtyards and streets still inhabited. A walk on the rampart gives an overview of the village and the mountains surrounding it.

Place indismissible
Ermitage Hyangiram
Hyangiram climbs between rocky passages and stairs on the tip of the island of Dolsan, facing the sea. The small pavilions open onto islets and a clear horizon, in a site very appreciated at sunrise.
