Fairfield County and the Gold Coast
Connecticut's destination centered on campuses, hills, rivers and small historic cities, useful to cover Connecticut beyond its coastline.
To understand what Fairfield County and Gold Coast are, you need to look at Greenwich Point Park, Glass House and Weir Farm National Historical Park. These places give us a view of a territory marked by urban life, the coastline and the heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

For a stay of 1 to 4 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: seasonality to check and sometimes important distances. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Nature and landscape
Greenwich Point Park
Greenwich Point Park head into the Sound with inland marshes, beaches and harbour views that surprise the vicinity of Manhattan. The ribbon of the peninsula runs on foot or by bike, and each detour opens another seaside texture, between distant urban and nature of course.
Culture and heritage
Glass House
The Glass House Philip Johnson plays on transparency: the landscape itself becomes a part of the work. The guided route shows the pavilions and perspectives designed around the views; it is quickly understood why the whole is going beyond the simple house. It is an immersion in the architectural gesture.
Nature and landscape
Weir Farm National Historical Park
Weir Farm juxtapose house, workshop and painted territories from which J. Alden Weir created his canvases. The alleys allow to follow the lines of light of the valley, and drawing material is sometimes proposed to extend the experience. The place attracts by the continuity between history and practice.
