To understand what Antwerp is, you have to look at Notre Dame Cathedral, MAS and Central Station. These places give us a view of a territory marked by the big city, urban life, heritage and riverscapes and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

For a stay of 2 to 4 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: extended city and dispersed port areas. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Cathedral
Notre Dame Cathedral
The Cathedral of Notre-Dame d'Anvers imposes its high Gothic silhouette above the old center. Inside, the works of Rubens, the clear naves and the chapels give a rich visit, very related to the artistic history of the city.
Museum and panorama
Museum aan de Stroom
The Museum aan de Stroom associates collections on Anvers, contemporary architecture and panorama of the port. You can come there for exhibitions or simply to climb by the climbers and read the city from its successive terraces.

Gare centrale d'Anvers
The central station of Antwerp transforms the arrival into an architectural scene, with its large stone hall, glass windows and superimposed lane levels. Even without a train to catch, you can enter it as in a monument, follow the internal perspectives and observe the contrast between historical decor and very active rail traffic.
