Monastère de Daphni
The monastery of Daphni preserves remarkable Byzantine mosaics, where gold and holy faces take all their strength in the dark church. Located on the ancient sacred road between Athènes and Eleusis, the place combines monastic architecture, religious history and relative calm at the gates of the capital.

Acropole
The Acropole dominates Athènes with the Parthenon, the Propylées, the Erechtheion and the views of a city that extends to the sea. Rock, marble and light give a physical presence to monuments, especially when connected to the nearby museum and to the lower districts.

The Agora Antique extends under the Acropolis, with porticoes, temples, fragments of streets and open spaces where Athenian public life took place. The temple of Hephaïstos, very well preserved, helps to imagine the scale of the site in the middle of pines and urban views.

Pláka It extends at the foot of the Acropolis, with stairs, low houses, taverns, small churches and streets sometimes very frequented. Behind the tourist shops, Anafiotika and some side streets keep an atmosphere of white village hanging on the hill.
