Coastal castle
Scarborough Castle
Scarborough Castle occupies a promontory beaten by the wind, between the two bays of the city. The remains tell less about an intact castle than a watchtower: open walls, razed grass, sea horizon and frank views of the port, the south beach and the coast to the north.

Filey Brigg
Filey Brigg advances into the sea as a rock tongue, with dark slabs, tidal pools and birds laid on the reliefs. The tide really changes the visit: some areas are widely discovered at low tide, while the wind and the sprays quickly give the heading a harsher character.

Flamborough Head
Flamborough Head impresses with its sharp cliffs and the way the wind organizes every step. Vertical views towards the sea and rocky corners require a cautious progression, with pauses to frame the light.
Bird reserve
Bempton Cliffs
In Bempton Cliffs, the gazebos overlook high chalk cliffs where nest macarous, bassan-crazy, murres and seagulls tridactly depending on the season. The paths are simple, but the experience is due to the screams, the tight flights at the bottom of the walls and the binoculars pointed towards the cornices.
