Musée de Nantong
Founded by Zhang Jian, this museum is one of the first modern museums in China. Historical buildings and local collections illuminate the city's modernization. Architectural details are better discovered without haste.

The hill of the Loup dominates the Yangzi with its temples and woods to the south of the center. The ascent is short but opens a wide view of river, ports and industrial areas.

Tangzha keeps factories, canals and working quarters linked to textile development of the early 20th century. The sector is less scenographed than the old classical centers and requires a careful walk.
