General presentation
Zhenjiang
Fortified hills, temples and meeting Yangzi with the Grand Canal give Zhenjiang a very readable geography.
To understand what Zhenjiang is, you must look at Mount Jinshan, Temple Jiaoshan and Museum of Zhenjiang. These places give us a view of a territory marked by urban life, riverscapes, heritage and mountain reliefs and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 2 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Mont Jinshan
Jinshan is a former island temple hill, now connected to the Yangzi bank. The superimposed pavilions and literary narratives give several levels to the ascent. The weather and the condition of the trails remain decisive.

Temple
Temple Jiaoshan
Jiaoshan is a wooded island of Yangzi covered with temples and calligraphic inscriptions. The ferry and shaded paths make a separate visit to the hills of the center. Architectural details are better discovered without haste.

Museum
Musée de Zhenjiang
The museum occupies historic buildings close to the former British Consulate and presents the history of the port. Its collections give context to the meeting of the Grand Canal and Yangzi.
